20% Time Proposal

There has been a baby grand piano at the Mancuso Hall lobby that has been in rather poor condition for several years. The pedals are completely detached from the piano, eliminating the sustain, hardening, and softening capabilities of a regular piano, and some of the keys are out of tune, and the strings are unable to be tuned because of their age. My proposal is to do a fund-raiser in order to allow repairs for the piano, at least for re connection of the pedals, as well as replacement of some strings. The project will most likely take more than 4 months, perhaps even to the end of the school year. The costs for replacements may vary, as a professional may need to take a closer inspection of the piano to give a reasonable estimate. I plan to write out a proposal to the MHS principle, Mr. Esposito, and see if a fund-raising campaign can be set for it. Hopefully, the end result of the project will be to get enough funds for the repairs and replacements and, if failing that, at least getting a considerable amount.
