Week 4 Reflection

Please excuse the tardiness of this assignment; due to confusion and debate over the project, I was unsure of what to write for quite a while.
As stated in the previous update on my story, I was having trouble tying the characters together through the plot of the story itself; as such, I have begun work on some of the settings in the story. An overgrown, long-abandoned building (possibly deserted before the cataclysm) in deep within the veritable phalanx of trees, thorns, and creatures unknown of the old forest is where our story shall begin, each character guided by luck, insanity, and the Carrion Man itself. The story will progress from the woodlands into a twisted and long abandoned city, now home to cultists and practitioners of forbidden arts, filled with layer upon layer of people infected with strange diseases or even raised from the dead by the necromancers in the alleyways. The Carrion Man watches from a distance, dragging away the bodies of the characters as each one dies to their own flaws (flaws that, of course, are romanticized and slightly exaggerated, but common amongst much of humanity).

This week, I plan to keep developing the plot, as well as writing the beginning of the story. I am hoping that beginning the writing of the story itself will jumpstart or spark some ideas that will get the rest of the story moving.

  1. This story really is starting to develop! You have a great imagination and ideas. Can't wait to hear what else you do with the plot =)
