This week I continued working on my scarf and it was pretty challenging. I dropped about 5 rows of stitches to make the process easier for myself and to finish it faster. I think the scarf will look better thinner anyway. I also bought new metal knitting needles which makes knitting so much easier than knitting with wooden ones. I think I'll be done with the scarf in maybe two weeks since I'm a beginner and I don't usually have so much free time on my hands to knit all the time. I think that's something I can work on to improve my skills though. I'll try to incorporate knitting into everything that I do if that's possible.
This week I also learned how to undo row of stitches, but I still need to figure out how to get rid of the excess yarn. I'm really enjoying this project so far even though it is frustrating sometimes. I'm just a little impatient with the process because I'd really like to move on, but I'm not even half way done with the scarf I started making. I want to learn new techniques and how to make more complex things. When I finish this project I think I'll move on to socks.
That is awesome that you are working on knitting! I would love to see pictures of what you are working on so far. Are you going to be trying different stitches or are you using the same stitch for the entire scarf? I do knitting sometimes and always got frustrated when the stitches fall off the metal needles.
