Reflection 1

This week I began my first course on codeacademy.org. I learned the basics of HTML language, which stands for Hyper Text Markup Language. HTML allows you to add words, titles, and paragraphs to a web page. HTML is a pretty simple programming language, but it can come in handy when making webpages. Because of its simplicity, it was very easy for me to complete the basics course within 3-4 hours. Next, I began to learn the basics of CSS, which is like the skin of a webpage, while HTML can act as the backbone. Overall, the lessons were very simple however creating a complex webpage will not be as easy. This upcoming week, I will continue lessons on codeacademy to go more in depth with other coding languages, whether it be JavaScript or C++ or both.
