Reflection #1

I've spoken to Mr. Esposito about the possibility of repairing the piano, and although he knows the long-term progress and extensive funds required, depending on the piano's current condition, he is willing to look into the idea if I write out a proposal for him. From what I've seen, the piano is playable, but it needs string replacement in order to be tunable. Those strings are several years old, and have most likely been worn by earlier tuning in the past. The hammers might also need changing, as the tight felt used to soften the contact with the strings are starting to loosen and wear. I've mentioned before that the pedal system is completely detached from the base of the piano. I'm not sure how much work will need to be done for that. That will be left to a professional once an inspection has been done. I plan on looking into how general fund-raising works, either by online sources or by students or perform fund-raising in my school. In the mean time, Alex out.
