I started my 20% Time Project today on knitting. Today I learned how to make a slip knot, cast on, and knit stitches. For now, I'm sticking to making a simple scarf. This seems pretty easy and I've done a decent amount of work it being the first day, and I think I'll be done with it in a week or so. I made a few mistakes like dropping the stitch, and it looks kind of lumpy in some places but I think I can work on that so my next project, whether it be a scarf again or socks, looks better. I think I'm doing pretty well so far, and I think it's because I've tried to learn how to knit before but never really stuck to it. I'm really glad I chose this as my 20% Time Project because I think I'll actually stick with it this time and try to learn more than just the basics. After I finish the scarf, I either want to start socks or mittens. I don't know if I'll be able to learn how to make a sweater, but I hope I can. It's pretty time consuming so that'll be one problem that I have yet to find a way to deal with.
