Reflection # 5
This week I was pressed for time: I had a lot of homework and I needed to finish my Early Action application, so I didn't have too much time for 20%. That being said, I still had some time to jam out and practice my chords. I continued to learn "Stand by Me", using the four chords of G, E minor, C, and D. My chord transitions are becoming smoother, even though I haven't reached perfection with the song yet. I am even starting to be able to play without looking!! This week was important because my guitar playing skills are becoming a bit smoother and more coordinated - there aren't so many long periods between playing each note and every note comes out clearer than the last. I will use the skill of chord transition throughout my project; it is an essential skill to perfect when playing the guitar. Yet again, I noticed the pattern that each time I play I feel more comfortable playing and my skills are absolutely improving. Whenever I pick up the guitar I know I will do a better job than the last time. This week I did well, though I can still improve more and perfect the song, especially with a long break next week. Hopefully, I can learn a new song by next week after perfecting the current one - keep a look out for some CCR, as I'm hoping to play "Proud Mary" next. Until next week!
