Shading is an absolute pain, but then again so is everything in art. A long time ago (approximately yesterday) I started a piece shading the basic- 3D shapes. Slowly as you go up the page the objects start getting more complicated and more of them start getting squeezed in. In class I finally finished the last few objects and had time to refine a few of the lighter lines I drew. Drawing is below:
What is it about shading that makes it a pain? How have you overcome these difficulties?
