This week, just as last, I saw myself starting out strong with my goals and then slowly fade away as the days went by. This happened for two reasons. One, because I was not able to access the school gym during co, since PARCC decided to rear its ugly head in UCVTS. And two, because I got sick on thursday and did not have the strength nor energy to exercise throughout the rest of the week. Instead, I focused on the eating healthier part of my life.
On monday, I prepared a Puerto Rican version of pork chops, which we call chuletas. I baked them in the oven, because frying anything is horrible for you. Admittedly they were not my best, but they were still pretty good. I also looked through many food magazines when I was out shopping with my family and took pictures of some good recipes I could use. I will start looking through those to see which ones I can cook next.
Another thing I realized was that I was missing a very important part of healthy living: water. While I do drink some every day, I should be drinking at least half a gallon. Near the end of the week I started to drink more and more, but I forgot to keep track. I will start implementing this more starting tomorrow.
Finally, something that I am very proud of, is that I finally bought my exercise mat! It cost me $20.00, but it is a durable one that I hope will help lessen the pain my feet feel after standing on the tile for so long. Anyway, my goal for this next week is to stay on track with my schedule, even if I don't complete every part. Until then, wish me luck.
