Reflection 5

Unexpectedly, I found out that my father had basic computer language knowledge, and he gave me numerous advice in coding this week. I revised the magic attack and changed the design. Rather than having magic follow the enemy's location (as that would make the game unfair and too easy), I found a way for the magic to shoot in the direction the player is facing, like shooting a gun. I also set an instance where the player gains EXP when they defeat an enemy, but I'm still working on that. Also, I created a simple infinite enemy spawner that activates when an enemy is defeated.

Eventually, I will create that NPC and I will make different types of enemies. I may make enemies that can fight back, but that will depend on the difficulty of creating AI. I also would like to make text boxes with dialogue for the NPC.

Here is a picture of the new projectile and the EXP stat in action.

  1. How awesome that you didn't have to go far at all to find someone to help you achieve your goals!
