Reflection #10

This week I continued to practice the first verse of  "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." While I wasn't able to perfect the verse this week, I made significant strides in playing the verse. After this week's practice I know the correct order of the chords and can play the first verse while looking at my finger placement and taking my time while doing it. This week was important because I am progressing with the song and while I might not have perfected it, I've seen that I can learn a song and get the basics of it down relatively quickly. I will continue to use my knowledge of the first verse until Christmas, because I am aiming to perfect the song by the week of the holiday.  I noticed that the more I practiced certain chord transitions, the easier they were. For example, B7 to E minor became relatively easy. However, some chord transitions still stump me and force me to take longer to make them (C to A7 specifically). I was successful this week because I continued to make progress- I can only get better from here on out. Next week I will attempt to perfect the first verse and begin learning the second verse. Until then!
